SMALL ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE is an original hand-painted watercolor landscape of a village in the Cotswolds, England, done on Arches 140 lb. cold-pressed, 100% cotton watercolor paper with professional-grade Daniel Smith watercolor paint and white gouache. The square painting itself measures 8"x8", but with the white matboard (included), it measures 12"x12". I used archival quality mounting strips, so the painting can easily and safely be removed, if desired. It is signed on the front by the artist (me).

This piece was Inspired by my recent trip to the Cotswolds plus the quirky artwork of British artist Mike Jackson. Almost illustrative in style, it celebrates one of the most beautiful places on earth with bold geometric shapes and gobs of color (or colour, as the Brits would have it). It's based on a photo I took of the charming village of Mickleton, where I stayed. (Works great paired with my similar but larger Cotswolds painting currently listed.)
