"Birds on Branches" is an impressionistic original 9.5"x9.5" watercolor painting mounted on a .75" thick wooden cradled panel and protected with several coats of clear wax. I painted it on Arches 140 lb. watercolor paper with Daniel Smith professional-grade watercolor paint with touches of white gouache. This multicolor piece features a plump robin and a curious bluebird perched on branches of a blossoming cherry tree. It is mounted (permanently affixed with heavy gel matte) to a round wooden cradled panel, which I painted with white gesso to prevent acidity from the wood leeching through, then waxed the surface with several coats of Dorland Wax. So, it's ready go as is! No frame or glass protection needed.
