Original Watercolor Landscape Painting, Hudson River Scene 9x12

RESPITE AT DUSK is a 9"x12" original watercolor landscape painting of
the silhouette of a man on a bench, gazing at a distant mountain range across a river as the light from a nearby lamp post illuminates the scene in an array of yellows, oranges and purples. I painted it on Arches 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper with Daniel Smith professional-grade watercolor paints and it is signed on the front by me (the artist).

I've embodied this scene myself many times, taking a rest from biking to sit and gaze across the Hudson River -- just substitute the distant mountains for New Jersey (ha!). The dazzling light from the lamp post bounces off the mountains and reflects into the sky and water; a new technique I recently learned that I can't stop using! It involves using a lot of water and paint and turning the paper repeatedly to get the colors to blend on their own. (Messy but well worth it!)

THIS IS NOT A PRINT OR COPY, but a hand-painted work of art. It will be sent in a protective plastic sleeve and packaged appropriately. Returns/Exchanges accepted. Frame/Matboard NOT included. Email me with any questions.
