Nasturtium Watercolor Painting, Original Floral Art in Navy Mat

VASE WITH NASTURTIUMS is an original hand-painted impressionistic watercolor painting of vibrant yellow and orange nasturtium flowers spilling out of a vintage white vase. It is mounted in an 8"x10" navy-blue matboard, attached with high-quality archival mounting strips. I painted this piece on 100% cotton 140-pound cold-pressed watercolor paper with professional-grade watercolor paint. The actual painting itself measures 6.5"x4.5" and the entire piece, including the matboard, measures 8"x10".

Picasso had his "Blue Period" -- and I seem to be going through my nasturtium period. (Tee-hee!) I've recently become fascinated by their vibrant colors, distinctive roundish leaves and graceful, delicate vines. (Plus, the flowers and leaves of the real thing are edible!) Keep spring alive all yearlong with this fresh floral piece. Although it's not very large, the delicious colors of this joyful painting really pack a punch. Sure to brighten up any room in the house!
