Hydrangea Watercolor Painting, Original Floral Art with Deckled Edges

FADED HYDRANGEAS is an original 9"x12" hand-painted impressionistic watercolor painting featuring pink and purple hydrangeas in a clear square vase against a blue-gray textured background; the paper is finished with "deckled" (ripped) edges to enhance the overall look. (A larger version 16.5"x11.75" titled "Hydrangeas in Clear Vase" is also available without deckled edges.) I painted it in on Arches 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper with Daniel Smith professional-grade watercolor paints, and the piece is signed on the front by me (the artist).

The plump pink and purple hydrangeas sit in a square clear vase, reminding you that spring is never too far away. It's sure to bring a touch of elegance to any room in the house, no matter the design style.

[FRAMING TIP: You could mat this piece the usual way and cover up the deckled edges; but I would suggest highlighting this feature by mounting it on top of a matboard or cardstock before framing.]
