ABSTRACT FLORAL on WOOD PANEL is an original hand-painted impressionistic 4"x8" watercolor painting featuring sage greens and soft purple flowers. I mounted the painting onto a wooden cradled .75" oval panel with Heavy Gel Matte, then finished it off by applying several coats of protective clear wax, also giving it a slight sheen. The painting itself was done on Arches 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper with Daniel Smith watercolor paints. No further framing needed -- you simply have the happy task of finding the ideal spot for it.

Faded greens and purples always make a delicious combination -- and that's certainly the case with this abstract floral painting. And I particularly love the elongated oval shape of the wooden panel it's mounted onto. Very unique! Since it's small, but not too small, this piece is an ideal fit for all sorts of nooks and crannies and still makes a visual impression. You can tie a ribbon or cord hanger at the top to give it a bigger footprint...set it on a little easel...tuck it into the corner of a bookcase or add it to your gallery wall. Endless possibilities.
